SSS Report:

Secret Sisters is moving along just the way it is supposed to.

Well, that is if you don't count lost email addresses, mixed up snail mail addresses, and the other usual glitches.  Any Secret Sister who finds herself 'missing in action' please do feel free to email me, and I will try to locate the problem.  Also reminder to the Sisters to check the

Fabric Stash Secret Sister Bulletin Board

now and then as this is often where the ladies go when email addresses et al get lost.

(smoky notes - it's also a great place to leave "secret" messages for your sister too!!)

Right now they are being put together and/or finished.

We received a thank you letter from Bruce Joyner of Cystic Fibrosis. The 4 quilts donated will be auctioned off by Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. May 2005 Birthday Report

The Birthday Report...

April 2005 Birthday Report...This month was a total flop!  I sent birthday greetings to 20 ladies and due to a glitch in Angelwinks (or so it would seem), no one received them.  Angelwinks gives the option of holding cards and sending them out when you direct them to and I use that option when filling out cards to our membership.  Somewhere in this month's sending something went awry.

My computer also fried as Windows XP was downloading an update towards the end of April and a heavy Spring snow storm killed the electricity.  When the power came back on, the program threw itself into an Error mode and fried Windows XP!.  PC Fitness has worked on this computer for three weeks, reloading from scratch and testing, testing, testing.  It has been frustrating to say the least!

I am so sorry you ladies did not receive your greetings but later this month I shall send out Belated Greetings to you.  Please tell me if you receive it by just clicking on my return address in the body of the message!

Colleen-MT,  Birthday Gal

Birthday Greetings from all of us!!

Happy Birthday from your quilting sisters and Colleen/MT, the Birthday Gal for 2004-2005

NEWSLETTER Report

Ahhh - spring is really here (LOLOLOL). I laugh because we did have beautiful weather for most of the month, but as I write this report, the temperatures are below freezing, snow is blowing again!!!  Meanwhile, my tulips are blooming - and huddling close!!  My irises, hyacinth and hostas are all poking out of the ground - and, at the moment, thinking twice about how the heck they ever got planted in Edmonton!  I fear for the bleeding hearts and strawberry plants - but nature is one to never give up.  Speaking of never giving up....  my soccer team went to an indoor tournament in Calgary in mid April, and after a tie and a loss, won a game!!  THEN - we went on to win the Bronze placement in our Tier.  A happy bunch of ladies over 35!!  Now, in spite of the cold, we must knuckle under - our first outdoor game will be Mother's Day - ohhhh I sure hope it warms up by then!

Once more I am in awe of the stories and pictures you send.  What an incredible group of quilters !!  Cyber hugs to you all - and thank you once again for your wonderful input.

Pictures of the quilts that have been made for the RCMP families I wrote about last month can be found at: www.piecesquiltshoppe.com Look under the photos page link.  For those RPLOTN members who sent squares - they are truly appreciated.
