MORE Show and Tell!!

Linda-Sue supports those in need...

Becca and Sheila are quilting for hospices...

Annie's busy quilting and sorting...

Annie sent me a quilt a couple years ago to donate to a good cause here in MI... Annie did the quilt.  She only asked that I send pictures if possible as she likes to put a face with the quilt..
I made a quilt here from extra fabric, I make up large crib to large lap and keep them in case there is a fire or something locally I can donate to.  The picture of the RWB quilt being held upside down (sigh)  is the one my son chose for this project.

Bob Hornbarger (man in the Cubs Shirt) is a motorcycle rider and local Auctioneer, he has had cancer and doesn't have insurance, so his fellow biker buddies put on a Ride for him

DH and DS thought a quilt would be a good thing to donate so it was done.  The quilts made $125.00 they were auctioned separately and the same man Jack Hess (holding the quilts) won them both.

The Ride raised $1900.00 for Bob,   For those who don't know.. Bikers do Rides... They start out in a pack and tour a certain area, each rider and passenger pays a certain $$ to do the Ride and then they have a meal provided.  Most of this stuff is done by donations, food, stuff to sell tickets for and the auction.

Honoring victims of 9/11

http://www.unitedinmemory.net/history.html

I'm proud to say I made seven blocks, but I think just in general, it
(the video on the web site) needs to be watched....

...each section is from my friend Corey....put
together by him.....and all his hard work and dedication, to those victims of 9-11.
If you type in the last name Lozier, you can find Gary Lozier's Block, the one with the picture that I made.

How very difficult to sum up one person's life in an 18x18 square block.

Thanks!  Hugs!
Annie

Donation to Kenai Peninsula Assoc of Realtors Hospice Funraiser

Becca received the following letter:
"Becca,
Thanks so much for the donated quilt from RPLOTN Quilt Guild. Your donation is so appreciated as it will help raise money for our local hospice chapter for all of the special things they do for our community.

Sincerely,   Terri Segesser
Chairperson for the Kenai Peninsula Assoc. of Realtors Hospice Fundraiser"

And then Becca sent Annie another note....

Hi Ya Annie,
Here is the picture of Marquita (sp?) with the two quilts for Hospice. I hope you have received her letter in the mail by now. Sheila and I will continue to provide them with quilts as they really broke our hearts. One of the caring ladies that works there spied the ocean quilt right away and asked if she could place that one. She was working with a 5 year old little boy who had just lost his daddy. She said the little boy had drawn into himself and they were having trouble helping him. The quilt reminded her so much of Sponge Bob's home and she thought it might really be a special thing for that little guy.
I wanted to go buy out Fred Meyers of all their Sponge Bob toys at that point. Thank you so much for letting us be a part of this Annie and letting us quilt your quilts.

Smiles, Becca Olson

This is the prom dress I put together for my pest control guy's daughter.
I made costumes for her since age five. I can't believe she's going to prom!
The purse I picked up at Payless for $2.00!

Mary Beth and I had a blast picking out the fabric. She wanted the neon
green and the pink together. The pink down the back and the pink V on the neckline.  The green is windbreaker fabric......lol

This was taken outside under the streetlight.
She was so happy.....she said, "I feel like
a princess!"

Annie learns a new technique.....

This is my brother's dog Chewi. Embroidered on
the side of a denim purse. My first attempt
