SSS Report:
Secret Sisters is moving along just the way it is supposed to.
Well, that is if you don't count lost email addresses, mixed up snail mail addresses, and the other usual glitches. Any Secret Sister who finds herself 'missing in action' please do feel free to email me, and I will try to locate the problem. Also reminder to the Sisters to check the
Fabric Stash Secret Sister Bulletin Board
now and then as this is often where the ladies go when email addresses et al get lost.
(
smoky notes - it's also a great place to leave "secret" messages for your sister too!!)Louie/TX

A 30 pound box was shipped to me from Hoffman Fabrics. I divided it up and shipped it out to those ladies who have volunteered to put quilts together from the fabric. A roll of batting donated by Fairfield arrived last week. 6 Warm and Natural Twin sized battings donated from The Warm Co. NOTE: Cookie OR sent me a letter stating her group that makes quilts for the Oncology Department will not be meeting until September but she assures me that they will take photographs once they get sewing! Colleen-MT, Birthday Gal
Happy Birthday from your quilting sisters and Colleen/MT, the Birthday Gal for 2004-2005 |
NEWSLETTER Report
Summer is just around the corner!!!. How does the weather change so quickly! That first soccer game was WARM!!!! - We lost, but hey - we had fun. We are now at 2 wins, 2 losses. We are preparing for participating in the World Masters Games in July! You'll see and hear more about that to be sure!
I had the wonderful opportunity to visit Vancouver Island (Parksville) with my parents this past month. My sisters also met there. Some of the photos are in the newsletter. We had a perfect time - weather could not have been better - lots of wandering - in the forest, on the sea shore. Lots of antique store shopping. And once more - ideas for quilts! Ohhhh to have the time to do nothing but design and quilt.
June is a busy month - birthdays, anniversaries, a graduation from Junior High... a whirlwind social month in our household. In Edmonton - the sun is setting at about 10 p.m. and rising again about 4 a.m. Add in the twilight time and it really is dark for about 2 hours and that's all! Very strange if you are not used to it!
Now it's time to concentrate on pulling all the wonderful pictures and articles you have all sent! What beautiful projects you work on!! An awesome group. Cyber hugs to one and all.
