Great SHOW AND TELL !!

July 2005

This quilt is called Miss Black Eye Susan, my second favorite flower.  The first is the yellow rose.

This quilt was purchased from Ty/TX in Worcester, MA. in April.  I just finished the quilting and binding and am very proud of myself.  I did free motion leaves for the quilting.

Hope you all enjoy looking at it.

This is one of the things that I have finally competed.

Several of the ladies  in my local quilt group make up kits once a month and give to others to put the blocks together.  Then we draw names to see who gets the blocks.  I won the January blocks.  The twelve blocks I received were enough for one side of this bag, so I made twelve more blocks and put together this bag.  The side you see here is actually the one from the blocks I made out of my stash.

This is from our member Sally Owen/Illinois

She made this bag and wants to have it in the newsletter, it is awesome don't you think??!!

Does this count as a seal of approval? His name is Mouth & he's 18 years old - had dental surgery 2 weeks ago & feeling much better now!

The top is the Friendship Star & Square-in-a-Square blocks from the 2004 swaps. The top has had more borders added & is in the process of getting finished.....My "works in progress" seem to hang around forever  Too much volunteering & not enough fun time...

Hugs,
Marilyn

ps.  Smoky has the same problem - gotta learn to keep that hand DOWN at meetings!
