June Reunion Party REPORT!!

June 23, 2005

On June 23rd and 24th we had a marathon Reunion Party which went over real fine. We had lots of attendees returning to our wonderful chat room, some saying they didn’t think we were still here after many years of not coming in.

Well, we are here and we do chat. Chat is not like it used to be 10 years ago with separate rooms, people have changed. They now are busy with every day lives, working, retired and traveling and new interests. Some still quilt, but many have new hobbies, like being with their grandchildren, going back to school and obtaining the degree they never got when young. Some have started painting and knitting again after years away from it.

We got to see lots of old times, KAW/NE, Rie/PA, Seal/OR, Cookie/Or, Gidge/OR, Michelle/CA, Tensie/CA, Julz/WI, MAK/NY, Laurie/NY, Wizard/NY and the last person to come in was Amy/CT. She was in as anonymous, cause she couldn’t remember her chat name, and well after some investigating it was decided it was Amy/CT. Hopefully she will be back with us soon. She had not been in the chat room in over 5 years; now that is what a reunion is about, seeing old faces, names and catching up.

We will not be having a party this month since many will be traveling and on vacation, but we would love to hear from everyone. Chat times are anytime 24/7, but the most popular times are 6am to 9am and again from 8:30pm to whenever, usually around 1am. Some ladies mentioned that it would be nice to chat between 10am and 2pm, so someone out there start it, perfect time to have a lunch/brunch chat. Come one, come all, let’s chat and have more fun with reunions of old faces and names.

Purple Hugs,

PARTIES....

Why do we only have parties for each other when one of us gets married, pregnant, has a birthday, or retires?  What would most of us do without our sisters, confidants, and shopping, lunching and traveling girlfriends?  Let's celebrate each other for each other's sake! Pass this on to your girlfriends! If you get this twice or more, you are lucky to have more than one girlfriend.   Be happy!

Someone will always be prettier. They will always be smarter. Their house will be bigger. They will drive a better car. Their children will do better in school. And their husband will fix more things around the house.

So let it go, and love you and your circumstances. Think about it. The prettiest woman in the world can have hell in her heart. And the most highly favored woman on your job may be unable to have children. And the richest woman you know, she's got the car, the house, the clothes....might be lonely.

And the word says if "I have not Love, I am nothing."  So, again, love you.  Love who you are.  Look in the mirror in the morning and smile and say "I am too blessed to be stressed and too anointed to be disappointed!"

"Winners make things happen.  Losers let things happen."

Be Blessed ladies and pass this on to encourage another woman.

"To the world you might be one person, but to one person you just might be the world".
