Warm Hearts Report:

GAquiltR reports she sent out 4 warm heart e-cards in January.

A new web page has been created with for the Warm Hearts - PLEASE let her know if someone is in need of the comforting gesture from the RPLOTN group.  She will send out an e-card on our behalf, and the Warm Hearts page can be updated with any special projects for our sewing sisters who need our special support.

SSS Report:

Secret Sisters is moving along just the way it is supposed to.

Well, that is if you don't count lost email addresses, mixed up snail mail addresses, and the other usual glitches.  Any Secret Sister who finds herself 'missing in action' please do feel free to email me, and I will try to locate the problem.  Also reminder to the Sisters to check the Fabric Stash Secret Sister Bulletin Board now and then as this is often where the ladies go when email addresses et al get lost.  (smoky notes - it's also a great place to leave "secret" messages for your sister too!!)

Ladies hoping that you all are quilting up a storm and helping out our Charity Chairperson, Annie and her "antlers".  This is for a good cause.

Everyone at this time of the year wants extras hugs, so lets give us all 100% hugs and snuggles to all of the RPLOTN.

Remember the party  Feb. 12th 7:00a.m.-11:00 a.m.  and 7:30 p.m. to whenever we get tired!!   Both times are CST.   Someone will have snacks and drinks for sure!  So come one, come all .. and let's be someone's Valentine.

Charity Report...

After quiltDonalyn told me that JoAnn's was having a sale on batting, I went out and  purchased 30  yards of Warm and Natural at 50% off!  So we have a stock of batting to last us through the year.

Batting: 30 yards @$4.99    Total $162.80
Backing fabric:
     7&3/4 @ $1.00
     4&3/4 @ $1.00
     7         @ $2.00
     6        @  $2.00
     Tax:         $3.75
     Total:      $49.24

Finding 16 quilt tops in my stash to donate surprised me but I am going to donate them all in the name of  R.P.L.O.T.N.
I also found backing fabric for many quilt tops on sale at $1.00 and $2.00 a yard, so we have plenty of backings to back our tops!   Come on ladies, you know you have tops you will never use or quilt......why not donate them to R.P.L.O.T.N. for a charity in your area?  Just be sure to get a letter back stating that you donated the quilt and send me a copy for the R.P.L.O.T.N. record book please!

Many R.P.L.O.T.N. members have come forward to offer their 'services' to help the charity section of the guild!

We have long arm quilters volunteering time, binders and block assemblers.

Thank you  ladies!  Your volunteering is truly appreciated - many hands make light work!

If anyone needs labels for quilts they are donating, please contact me at: anniestemarie@yahoo.com and if you could include your mailing address that will help me out a lot!

And if anyone has any questions feel free to email me please!

Thanks again to all you ladies who are volunteering!

January 2005 Birthday Report

January was a very busy month for the stork in the years of the ladies’ births! Eighteen birthday greetings were sent, one anniversary card and one "belated birthday" greeting was sent to a new member who joined RPLOTN after her special date had passed. We are still not being received by all the birthday gals. Angelwinks sends me a message when the cards are picked up; I can double check activity. Only nine were accepted as of January 31st. Please double-check your email address with Magicat (Membership Lady) to see that RPLOTN has your current email address!

Happy Birthday to the January gals! We did think of you….

NEWSLETTER Report

Hey gang - how's the weather!  We've been through -35 C (which is about the same in F degrees too!) and as high as +9C (which takes us to 48F)  - all within a week - what a strange land, Edmonton is!  The frost on the trees today was so lovely - and here I am stuck without a camera!  Perfect pics that would make great backdrops and little perks as I get this newsletter together!

I hope you are enjoying the new format - it's taking some time for people to realize the newsletter is at a new address and has a new editor.  As you are chatting with others - put in the word to check our new website - and send on your ideas and suggestions.  It's a team project - as in no "i" in team - your input makes the newsletter.

If anyone visits a particular internet site and likes what they see for layout/format  please let me know and I can see about doing something similar to ours!!
