PhyllisWA flew to Atlanta on Oct 29 to join the RPLOTN Southern Mountain retreat which was hosted by Eleanor Brazell (EB/GA). Ellen (Bun), CherylGA, JulieGA, Marcia, CookieGA were there Thursday through Sunday noon.
Terry (GAQuiltR) was able to join us for a few hours on Saturday. Three others came for a day of sewing: MaryJo, Judy and Leslee. It was a wonderful time, but all too short!

Here are some photos of my new King size bed quilt made from the slash a stash pattern which I modified and set on point and put randomly pieced borders to reflect the randomness of the blocks. As you can see from the close up shots, some blocks are solid yellows with blue print borders and the others are yellow prints with solid blue borders. It made it a little more cohesive and organized as opposed to the original pattern which had "no rhyme or reason to the color layout" which I HATE. EL (Auntie Em)
