Show and Tell - Quilt Festivals! |
|
Here are several pictures of Leslee Hoover, Terry Wright and me at Pigeon Forge
and the MountainQuiltFest, March 8-13.
I flew to Knoxville on Monday the 7th, Terry met me and we drove to the Ramada
in Pigeon Forge. Tuesday the 8th, Leslee and her husband and Terry's
husband drove up from Clayton.
I had 5 classes, the first four were all day classes. Leslee and Terry
took half day classes and attended some evening lectures.
Sunday we all three took a morning class from Klaudeen Hansen Called Americana
Quilt Workshop.
Thanks, PhyllisWA

Terry spent some of her time working on a guild challenge

Terry had two different applique classes and I did the mariner's compass with Judy Mathieson.

Here are the three of us with Klaudeen Hansen. The class was great! Pre-cut strips were then sewn together, cut apart, resewn...it was fun to actually sew after having 4 classes involving technique and practice.

This is the round robin that the Georgia ladies did for me. My center medallion is a dimensional mariner's compass with silver lamé. I sent pieces of the black and white background fabric and other pieces of coordinating fabrics for the ladies to use. After the medallion, Ellen White (Bun) did row #1, Terry Wright (GAQuiltR) did row #2, Cheryl Stewart did row #3, CookieGA did row #4 and Debbie Clem did row #5. When I got the top home I added a purple inner border, black outer boarder and bound the piece with purple. I had it machine quilted by Marcie of Just for Fun! Quilting in Vancouver, WA
