APRIL SHOWERS, BRING MAY FLOWERS!

Here we are in the month of April already - where has the time gone?

So what does April bring besides Showers? Spring-Cleaning? Sewing Adventures with famous teachers or finishing up those winter projects?

Does it mean stop sewing or making quilts for those in need?

It is time to plant a garden for the wonderful fresh vegetables and for the beautiful flowers like Grandmother's used to be?  Is that where Grandmother’s Flower Garden came from?

Does it mean time to go to the many wonderful Quilt Shows held around the country with fellow quilt makers or those who appreciate what we do?

I guess it does. I know that when I return home it will be clean the sewing room, get together the items that are no longer needed for our annual quilt guild's auction in June. I'm sure you are all doing the same, Spring Cleaning and finding more "UFO'S", LOL, that is always the fun of cleaning.

I will be getting the beds ready for flowers and for the vegetables. Of course, I have to plant the seeds as soon as I walk in the door because planting will take place in the Merry Month of May.

I will be going to the Sewing and Quilt Expos and meeting members of this wonderful group in April and going to the famous Keepsake Quilt Shop in New Hampshire. I have five days to clean out so I can bring home new treasures.

I am asking all to send in a bio to our Newsletter so we can get to know you better. I am asking all to write up a report of shows or lectures that you have attended. Let's plant seeds here so all can grow and bloom with beauty. Tell us about the wonderful quilt shop that you have just recently visited. Include any photos you have.

By doing this we all grow tall, bright and beautiful and learn so much in the art of quilting or sewing or crafts.

I am now on my way home from Florida after being here for three months and can't wait to start planting my gardens, cleaning and sharing with all the adventures that I will have in this month of April.
