Spring’s Awakening
Sunshine covers the warming ground As birds flit through the sky, Tunes are hummed by the passing crowd, Smiles exchanged as folks pass by.
There’s an energy flowing as life renews, Desires lie dormant no more, Spring brings new life to one and all, It’s time for a trip to the Q-Store.
Just look at that fabric, all set in a row, Patterns and hues burst in bloom, Bet you can’t buy just one yard or two, Sure hope the car has enough room!
Life seems wonderful once again As winter slips from our view, It’s time to tune-up the sewing machine! Our minds whirl with projects to do.
So dust off the machine and oil it well, Sharpen the scissors and pins, Cut, pin and sew ‘til your heart sings’, Spring’s bountiful awakening begins.
Today I’m an excited poet! |
