SSS Report:

Secret Sisters is moving along just the way it is supposed to.

Well, that is if you don't count lost email addresses, mixed up snail mail addresses, and the other usual glitches.  Any Secret Sister who finds herself 'missing in action' please do feel free to email me, and I will try to locate the problem.  Also reminder to the Sisters to check the Fabric Stash Secret Sister Bulletin Board now and then as this is often where the ladies go when email addresses et al get lost.  (smoky notes - it's also a great place to leave "secret" messages for your sister too!!)

Charity Report...

Hello Ladies!

This seems to have been a very busy month for everyone! That is why I postponed the lotto for one month. {:oD
There are quilts available in the quilt 'bank' for donations.
If you want a completed quilt top it will be a while since I have to put binding on them.
If you want to bind some already quilted tops, please let me know!
There are a few more tops and backings going out to people who have offered to machine quilt them and then donate in their area.
PLEASE email me if you said you would help and I have not contacted you or sent you anything.
I do have a busy life here as well as all of you! grin

Let me know and I will send you a top/s, batting and backing and even precut binding!

I will send you labels and letters to give along with the quilt/s so we receive an acknowledgement back from the people you donated to.

My return address is on the letter (to receive thank you letters and file in our Comfort Quilt Binder) and the labels have our Moose Logo on them!

ALSO a big PURPLE THANK YOU to the anonymous person that donated a huge box of brand new half yard cuts to the 'bank'.  They have been already cut up and formed into bright colorful tops!

Ladies send me reports as to where you donated your quilts! And please send me a copy of the letter you receive the person you donated to!

Thank you everyone!!!!

Take care!
Hugs!

Happy Birthday from your quilting sisters and Colleen/MT, the Birthday Gal for 2004-2005

NEWSLETTER Report

Well!! Never a dull moment in Edmonton!!  We had no snow at the beginning of March, then got totally dumped on so it looked and felt like January again!  and now, as we welcome April... the snow is almost all gone again!  March came and went like a lamb - but in the middle.....whooee!

Our hearts, thoughts and prayers go out to the 4 RCMP officers who lost their lives in the line of duty March 3rd, 2005.  So many officers came to this city to pay tribute to the fallen officers.  There are many web sites if one does a search on "RCMP memorial".  Quilt squares are being sent to a quilter in Fort Saskatchewan who will coordinate the quilt making for their families.  Then, we lost two firefighters in Yellowknife, as a roof collapsed on the them!  Again these families are in our special thoughts and prayers.  Our emergency services people are so very brave!

Be sure to give your loved ones an extra hug today!

Moving on...
Our RPLOTN group is about to embark upon a possible new adventure.... becoming an officially recognized guild.  Please visit the web page www.rplotn.com/Inc.htm and come to our meeting April 7th.

Hope you enjoy the newsletter - and keep those photos coming!
