Spring was here for about a week.  But a few birds have come by after all. They are hard to photograph, as I have to stick the camera between the Venetian blinds and try to take a photo thru the screen and window.  Here's a beautiful bird it took weeks for me to catch him at the feeder.  It is an Indigo Bunting.

Smoky notes:  now THAT's Indigo!!!

Glenda has sent a lot of quilt photos - a spread of how she got going and where she has headed with it.

At this time, she is now in need of cataract surgery the may have some complications.  I am going to set up a set of pages outside the newsletter - more along the lines of "introducing our members" - and put all her pictures on that page...  www.rplotn.com/Glenda.htm

And Willo is a store owner!!!  See her shop site at: www.pocosewingandvacuum.ca

Poco Sewing and Vacuum started up at the beginning of June!  We wish Willo all the best!!

Back in 1998 there were three Round Robins on the go - organized by Janie/Alaska!

The group Smoky was in - included a Michelle in Spokane, Smoky in Edmonton, Cathy in California, Colleen in Montana, Sharon in Kansas, Deb in Chatanooga at that time!, Cookie in Georgia, Andrea who was in Nova Scotia at that time, Diana in Virginia, Lucy in Minnisota, Kim (Dachsie) in Houston, MaryAnne (Pansy) in Pennsylvania..

12 of us in total - 12 months to do the rounds - 12 sets of rules for the quilt...  see http://www.automatedquill.com/quilts/rrquilt.htm

Well - after almost 10 years, Smoky, Colleen, Sharon, Cookie, Andrea, Deb, Diane and Dachsie STILL EMAIL!!!

Isn't that fantastic!!! So many things have happened along the way - we've moved, we've lost loved ones, we've changed and grown !

Spearheaded by an email from Andrea - we recently updated each other on our "happenings"!  Here's a photo of Andrea!! and a quilt from a class she teaches, and her grape vine quilt...

Andrea sends a note this month....

Hello from foggy Newfoundland where the fog is as thick as sh--!! okay so you can see I'm a bit frustrated with this crappy weather we are getting so far.  We have had this thick fog for 2 weeks now.  it is getting depressing!!!  Where is summer?  where is the sun and hot weather!  The last 2 weekends were hot and sunny and gorgeous, but the last two weeks of workdays, Monday to Friday the fog would roll in again!

ooh I have some gorgeous shots of some icebergs that came down this way I would love to share with you.  These are literally just outside my window!!  Well you have to walk about 10 minutes and you will see them much better..  I have also added a couple shots of the city I live in. Its a very old city, in fact the oldest city in North America.  there is a nice close up of downtown where you can see how old meets new.  The last photo is another iceberg shot taken last weekend from a hike not far from where i live.  I love this shot as you can see a very small wisp of light fog.  The fog we have right now though is so thick you can't see a hand in front of your face LOL.. well not literally but thats what we say here!!  Apart from the fog, I love where I live.  It is very beautiful here.  Anway, I thought I would share with you all a bit of where I live :)

For those you you to the south of me, plllllllllllllleaseeeee blow some hot sunny weather our way to burn off this horrible fog and drizzle.
