I guess what I have to report is that for now I have taken over the duties of V. P.  Since everyone is doing things with their families, there will be no parties during the months of June, July, and August. 
 
Right now I am making quilt tops for Greensburg, Ks.
I hope that more of our members will join in and help.  I am asking all of you not just a few but everyone.  Our President, Claudia also needs our help with this project.  We want to make as many quilts as we can.  So PLEASE ladies won't you make some time and help us please.  I myself and the other board members and everyone else would appreciate it very much.

The Greensburg Project.....

RPLOTN is making quilts for the people of Greensburg.  Quilt tops can be sent to Claudia, whole quilts can be sent to Needles or Claudia.  They are going to deliver them in September.

 

Warm Hearts Report: 

GAquiltR ~ Warm hearts have been sent GAquiltR's way - see the Special People section of the newsletter.

2 warm hearts sent in April;
1 warm heart for May was sent;
2 warm hearts in June.

- PLEASE let her know if someone is in need of the comforting gesture from the RPLOTN group.  She will send out an e-card on our behalf, and the Warm Hearts page can be updated if you request it - with any special projects for our sewing sisters who need our special support.

SSS Report:   

The Secret Sewing Sister's program is going ahead, but seems we are having some problems.  It seems that some of the SSS's have been contacting me saying they have not heard from the send to and receive from SSS's.  So will all those who are participating in the program please email me with their SSS's  address .  That is the address you use to contact them.  I still don't want people to reveal till December at our Christmas Party.
 
This way it will help me to let the SSS that her SSS is trying to contact her.

NEWSLETTER Report                                           

Well time flies and things change.  It turns out Ellora is not my granddaughter after all.  DS requested a DNA test to be done - and we waited almost 4 weeks to hear!!  Absolutely no match - so even generations back - there is no connection (to the mom).  Anyway, Ellora is quite unaware of all this - she just giggles and eats and poops as all new babies do - and we all love her dearly.  Ellora's mom had been living with her ex-boyfriend since Christmas, and in reality - this really is all for the best.  Ellora is with her mom and real dad.  The wonders of modern science.

SO - life for us moves on.  The quilt shop I work at is in the process of a sale - the new owner has a few things to iron out before it becomes official.  And we are doing major renovations - making our front room (the traditional living room) into a formal dining room - with French doors, hardwood flooring, and an inset in the ceiling for lighting.  Major changes and still not done.  We are into week three - and my man has gone back to work - so it's weekends.  Fortunately this is a long weekend for us!!

Everyone have a great summer.  And if there is someone out there looking to create the website newsletter - just the newsletter part - please please - call me!  You need to know how to use a program that creates web pages and have the ability to take photos and make them smaller for the web page (not just looking smaller but smaller pixels), have a good story telling ability and... time).
