Antlers are looking for more Lotto Blocks and also they are looking for orphan blocks. They would also love to have anyone in the guild to contact them, for charity quilts. They are many organizations around this country and in Canada that need them. If you have a quilt or want to make a quilt from some of these blocks, please, please, please contact them.
So please Ladies of the Guild, please contact your Antler and ask them what you can do or help them with.

NEWSLETTER Report
What's that I hear??? A SCHOOL BELL!!! WHEHAWW!!!!
Well - with only one left in Grade 11 - I'm not quite so anxious to clear him out of the house - BUT this year will be the FIFTEENTH Annual First Day of School Champagne and Orange Juice come and go coffee party at the Zwaal household!! Boy am I glad I have the Tuesday night work shift (GRIN).
Are your plans getting underway for the fall? That Hallowe'en or Christmas project? Or that new baby quilt? Why would I mention a new baby quilt? 'cause Smoky's going to be a GRAMMA (or maybe OMA since DH is a Dutchman)!!! Our oldest and his girlfriend are expecting at the end of March! All's well so far, although our new mom-to-be is going thru morning sickness.
Good thing I work at a quilt shop now! I am checking out a whole new section of the store these days. I'm really enjoying the work - helping others pick out colors and fabrics, seeing the latest fabrics and patterns, spending 8 hours on my feet! (whose idea was this!). The regular hours well only be 4 or 5 hour shifts, so that's not so bad. And being on the go will be good for me, as not playing soccer this summer has been terrible on the waistline! Fortunately the drop in soccer will start next week - and I can start getting some real exercise again!
So many projects - so little time. Of course I could drop a few volunteer quilting efforts - but where's the fun in that? The Quilts of Valour is picking up steam - I still need to get the word out to quilters better than I am. I've been contacting the various soldier's support groups in Canada too to find out who needs quilts out there. They are so busy, they acknowledge the emails, appreciate the great idea - and then... it's another two weeks before we connect again! But it's happening. Really, I wish it didn't need to happen - hopefully this is a project that will END.
Well - there are a bazillion photos to prep for this month - so I best hussle!
Chat soon - and thanks for all the photos this month!! That Brown Bag Challenge looks like it was a BLAST!!!
