Charity Quilt Raffle!!! LAST CHANCE!!!  See http://www.rplotn.com

Antlers are looking for more Lotto Blocks and also they are looking for orphan blocks.  They would also love to have anyone in the guild to contact them, for charity quilts.  They are many organizations around this country and in Canada that need them.  If you have a quilt or want to make a quilt from some of these blocks, please, please, please contact them.

So please Ladies of the Guild, please contact your Antler and ask them what you can do or help them with.

If you are quilting an RPLOTN quilt - and have it ready to give away - please take a photo and let us know so we can update our Charity quilts web pages.

NOTE: A web page has been created for the Warm Hearts at www.rplotn.com/warmhearts.htm

- PLEASE let her know if someone is in need of the comforting gesture from the RPLOTN group.  She will send out an e-card on our behalf, and the Warm Hearts page can be updated if you request it - with any special projects for our sewing sisters who need our special support.

Membership Report:

A new roster was sent out with the slate of officers in the beginning of October. If you did not get the attachment let me know and I will send you a new one. I don't want to clog up everyone's mailboxes with huge files of attachments that they do not want or that they already have. Anytime you have lost your roster and need a new one please just email me directly and I will be glad to send you a new one.

NEWSLETTER Report

Well, here in the Canadian  - or at least Edmonton area - winter has really set in!!  We got a dump of snow that has made our roads slippery and yukky!  There is no nice way of saying it !

But - WOW - does it make one feel like hunkering down and quilting!!  I have a quilt top done - and am going to be putting it into the 2007 Breast Cancer auction-style fundraiser - see www.thequilt.com for more information.  I'll put my quilt in the Show and Tell section.

Never being one to sit still, I've gotten involved with Operation Red Nose (www.orn-edm.org) a free service during the month of December to drive people home from their parties - in the party-goer's car!  Smoky is this year's campaign director - totally wondering what she was thinking!!

The family went wood cutting once more - that makes about 20 years of it!  Gramps came out and joined us again - not bad for a gent of 80 !!!

Well - Claudia is our new President!! Welcome to the Board !!!  We are there for you m'dear!!  Just holler if you need anything.  Meeting dates have been set to get to the end of the year ... check out the meetings page.

On with a whole new year!!

Smoky.
