Can you believe that it is the month of May already, we are into the 5th month of the year 2006 and have only 7 months before Christmas?

Where does the time fly when you are doing something that we all enjoy doing, QUILTING!

Of course we are doing our Spring-Cleaning of homes and gardens, we are also going to lots of quilt shows and expos. We are taking classes here on line as well as at local quilt stores.

Here at RPLOTN we are having a massive membership sign-up. Yes, we have a total of 6 new members this past month. They are mostly from the Featherweight Fanatics Club and we welcome each and every one of them to our guild.

It is the rebirth of ideas of sharing quilting, creativity and friendship.

We have a new Birthday Gal, Irishga. Welcome to the Board, Irishga. I know you will do a great job.

I would like to say thank you to Glenda for doing a marvelous job these past few years as Birthday Gal, even though you say you are slowing down, you wouldn’t believe it looking at your list of projects you are delving into.

We also have a new SSS Coordinator, ButterflyBrenda. That is right - she has two hats now in RPLOTN.

QC, we want to thank you so much for coordinating the Secret Sister Program this year. I have a wonderful SSS this year and know from others that they have been having fun with this program. Our prayers are with you and your husband and if you need a shoulder to lean on, come on into chat; we are there for everyone.

As I get ready to clean out closets and dresser drawers, I started making up a box of clothing to be sent to victims of the past years Hurricanes. Yes, people are still in need of bedding items, kitchen items, clothing, etc. And yes, they still need quilting items like, books, thread, needles and fabric. So when you start cleaning out that drawer or closet make up a box and send them to those who don’t have. It will do you and your heart good to know that you gave a part of yourself to others.

Of course we give of ourselves each time we chat, email or just get together in person.
