Warm Hearts Report:

For April, I sent 3.  It's been a quiet month, seems like, haven't heard about much.  And all the activity was early too.

Hugs,
GAquiltR

NOTE: A web page has been created for the Warm Hearts - PLEASE let her know if someone is in need of the comforting gesture from the RPLOTN group.  She will send out an e-card on our behalf, and the Warm Hearts page can be updated if you request it - with any special projects for our sewing sisters who need our special support.

May Birthday Report

We had 22 April Birthdays.  All were sent e-cards and posted on the F/S RPLOTN Board.  Except for 2, all were received.

April 21 was a Fun Day.  Four of our Purple Ladies share the same birthday.  What a great day for birthday cake lovers!!!!

Starting May 1st, Irishga takes over  the Birthday Girl position.  Thank you Irish for stepping in.

I have so enjoyed working with RPLOTN and Thank You ALL for the fun, friendship and cooperation.  We have come a long way together and many wonderful memories have been made.

My future plans will include more art training, textile design, refining ethnic art designs, and creating new quilt patterns and ideas. The scrap pile is growing...hehehe.  Some of these scraps have gone into Comfort Pillows and were donated to the Phoenix Baptist Hospital last week, in the name of RPLOTN.

RPLOTN is not forgotten.  I will see you in chat as time permits.

Hugs ALL   Glenda-AZ

End of Report

Lulu is her backup - so birthday changes can be submitted to Lulu as well.

NEWSLETTER Report

WHEWW!  ALL that March snow is gone - April warmed up nicely - and May 1 has my tulips starting to open again!

Click on the photo for the Newspaper article.

Good thing too - as the outdoor soccer season is about to start - of course, it is cold and rainy this week - but we need those frigid first games to give us stories to tell our grandkids..... who are starting to come out and watch us play soccer!  Crazy moms all.

There is so much going on these days - drop by the Opportunity Quilt page - pick up a ticket or two. The SSS's are in full swing - the postcard project is pretty quiet tho.

The quilts for the Canadian soldiers has become two projects across the country - they both started up about the same time, unaware of each other.  We have support of the Department of National Defense (DND) now, as they will be helping us get the quilts to where they are needed.  There will be a presentation on Canada's Remembrance Day - November 11 with quilts being given to the partners and moms of the soldiers we've lost.  Once again the quilting community is proving to be more generous than anyone can comprehend.

Thanks for dropping by the newsletter again.  I hope you enjoy it.  As I prepare the next month's newsletter, I go over the old pages - what an awesome group of quilters we are!!  Please continue to send pictures of your projects - the newsletter is only as good as you make it!!  Remember - you can send them to both the Cuppa's editor Penny AND to the RPLOTN editor Smoky.

Smoky, enjoying the smells and sounds of spring!
