June Birthday Report ~ ~ ~ |
NEWSLETTER Report
Another month has zinged on by!!! And with it more changes! First off ~ a special Get Well to Penny Olé. She is back home and is working on getting the Cuppa's Newsletter out for June too!
So - what goes into the newsletter??? Well - you send me pictures and stories and reports. Fonts have to be changed sometimes, content is edited for spelling, formatting may change depending on the layout of the page. I try to keep the same format for each newsletter - but I've added a few pages with links at the top and bottom. I haven't heard any feedback - so I'll leave it until I do. The newsletter this month is 11 pages inside the newsletter and another 10 pages outside the newsletter (Meetings, Opportunity Quilt, Lecture, etc) and 28 photos in the newsletter including the little teasers on the front cover, and a few more for the opportunity quilt and such. That doesn't include any of the moose or arrows pictures and icons.
Speaking of Moose - (we were?) - I have designed a moose pattern for patchwork - yes, the RPLOTN Moose. I have yet to actually make her - but as soon as life settles down a little, I will. And will post the pattern in the next newsletter. Which brings me to the next newsletter.... would anyone be highly upset if we make a "summer" issue instead of one for July and one for August?? It would come out about this time in August.
Moi - well - I've started a job that takes me out the door 8-5, Monday to Friday (and more) until the Champ Car race is over at the end of July. Meanwhile, I was off to Ottawa - to the Canadian Quilters Association quilt show! WOW!!! I took in the business seminars - very very informative, but no pictures! I also met with Canada's Department of National Defense personnel and we discussed the quilts that are being made for our fallen soldiers' families. THEN - I was off to a sister's wedding! AND - our Edmonton Oilers are going to the Stanley Cup - any Carolina Hurricane fans out there??? Do we set up a quilt challenge for the Final Round????? No wonder the month wizzed by!
And in there somewhere finished off THIS project... my niece. Now to do her sister!!
