Charity Report
Hello Purple Ladies!
The Antlers are hard at work trying to collect blocks and donations for the RPLOTN Charity
Program. We have contacted Hobbs Bonded Fibers and they will sell us batting at a
reduced rate, but we have to include Hobbs UPC Codes in order to qualify. Please
contact your regional Antler if you use Hobbs batting and send your UPC codes to her so
that she can order batting to distribute to members for charity quilts!
We are also working to receive fabric donations from some of the fabric manufacturers, so
we will soon have a charity stash to use for blocks, sashing, backing and bindings.
Please also remember to support the Charity/Lotto program. Send pairs of blocks to
the Antler of the Month see Lotto page...(January
is DrBeth-MD) and each pair will earn you 1 chance at winning 1/2 of the blocks
collected. The other half will go into charity tops and quilted to be donated.
The Antlers are also happy to help you with labels and donation letters when you finish a
quilt you would like to donate in the name of RPLOTN!
Thanks for supporting the program :)

....*Phew!!! - and THANK YOU VERY MUCH to Louie/TX for organizing those SSS ladies!!
Response has been slow for the SSS for 2006, please let QC know as soon as possible if you are interested in being a Secret Sister in 2006.
QC is ready to start taking in names of those who are interested in the 2006 SSS which will go from January thru December of 2006. QC has asked that we run the SSS from January thru December... that way it would be fun to finish off a year of SSS with a Christmas gift instead of starting the year with Christmas - when you haven't gotten to know your SSS yet.
You can email QC - or QuiltCrazy/KS at: jquiltc@aol.com if you are interested in being in the SSS program in the new year.

January 2006 Birthday Report Hi and Happy New Year.!!!!! 25 Electronic Happy Birthday cards were sent. Only 8 of them were "picked up"...and two of the ladies sent a Thank You reply.. Because some are not able to receive electronic cards, for whatever reason, their HB's are also posted on the F/S RPLOTN BB. Jelt's birthday apparently is listed wrong. I have requested a correction, but got no reply. Jelt??????? Will continue to do this and hope for the best. Hope all is well with you and yours! Glenda-AZ! Lulu is her backup - so note the birthday girl changes! and send them any changes! ~ ~ ~ |
NEWSLETTER Report
Well holy shmoly!! December is just a distant memory! It must have been good!
We enjoyed a great holiday and brought in the New Year with friends on a very wet Vancouver Island! Now I know why I live in Edmonton. Speaking of which - we need snow!!! This must be the dryest on record - we are still looking at the lawn. A very dead yellow lawn. Temperatures are hovering at the freezing mark.
Traveling through the Coquihalla Highway in B.C. gave us the winter feeling tho.....but I had to share my lunch!

Smoky had to share her sandwich with the Whiskey Jack ("Gray Jay" or
"Canada Jay", scientific name is Perisoreus Canadensis).
Smoky - keepin' far too busy.
