Here is Cyn/CT's challenge quilt. She made it look like the scroll of the Constitution with a log cabin block and then snippet the Charter Oak Tree. This was her first challenge in a long time and she did a wonderful Job and won Fourth Place in viewer's choice

Miss Teddy she is ready to shop and she did shop at Tala's she had to be measured for some minkee fabric and got a Tala's Quilt Shop Pin. Thanks Needles ! I love Miss Teddy. |
On June 30th, my Best Friend Denise along with Miss Teddy, began our journey north to Vermont. Of course we had to stop at three quilt shops on the way to Festival, like there would be no vendors there? We arrived in Burlington, VT, on the Eastern side of Lake Champlain. It was a new location for the Vermont Quilt Festival and I think it is the best. After a lite dinner and a walk, we discover that Joann's is right behind the Comfort Inn. Well you guess it, off we go to close the place down for the evening.
The next morning our adventure began in the Common Breakfast Room at the Comfort Inn. We invited people to sit with us at our large table and lo and behold right across from me is the first lecturer I ever heard. It was Barbara Barber from Westerly, RI. Well of course were was the camera, in the room, oh well she remembered me, cause my Grandmother lived about three houses away from her when I was a youngster. Then on to the show. This was the best show they have had, it had Air Conditioning and it was in the large Expo Center. So you could shop, view and rest all in one location, instead of hopping on shuttle buses or climbing hills to get the next vendor or display of quilts. Thanks for moving it to Burlington.
Here are the photos I took, Starting with # 1, Miss Teddy buckled up and saying "quilt shop till we drop". At the end of the show we headed home, but we needed refreshment so here we are at Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream Factory. It was a lovely time and we came home poorer in the money department, but with lots of riches for our stashes and for our imagination in making new quilts.
