October SHOW AND TELL  !!

October  2005

With the hurricanes this season, I thought I would resubmit my "Annie's Ark" quilt.
I made this in 1995 when the water was coming up to our back door. The creek had overflowed three doors down and I was trying to figure out how to get all my fabric out of the house.
Thus, the creation of "Annie's Ark". Although I didn't win any ribbons, my quilt hung at the Houston International Quilt Festival in 2005 and also when Fons and Porter do their traveling show called "A funny thing happened to me on my way to the quilt shop" they show my slides of my quilt as one of the quilts in the slide show.

Here we are at the 8th annual retreat at Angels in the Attic B&B, in Owego, NY.  Wizard organized the retreat in 1998 & has our eternal gratitude for bringing us together, as we enjoy our quilting time & each other's company for a week-end at the end of each summer.  Already booked for next year!

These are some of the projects I worked on at the Owego retreat last wk-end.  I also made a child-size top & left it there for their Linus project.  And finished a row robin row too.

This block I designed & sewed -  will go in next year's Folk Art raffle quilt for 1000 Islands guild here in Clayton NY.  All wool, each piece button-hole stitched.

 A WH I made for my Aunt Margie's 85th B'day.

The 4 star blocks are for quilt camp exchange next week-end
