SSS Report:

Secret Sisters is moving along just the way it is supposed to.

Well, that is if you don't count lost email addresses, mixed up snail mail addresses, and the other usual glitches.  Any Secret Sister who finds herself 'missing in action' please do feel free to email me, and I will try to locate the problem.  Also reminder to the Sisters to check the

Fabric Stash Secret Sister Bulletin Board

now and then as this is often where the ladies go when email addresses et al get lost.

NEWSLETTER Report

A WHOLE YEAR has gone by since I took over from Penny's resignation as newsletter editor!  I can't believe how quickly it has gone by!

Thanks so much for all of your support.  It is truly a big job getting the newsletter out - and it can't be done without your input - your stories, your pictures, and your feedback.

I had the opportunity to spend a week in Holland this September - and even took in two quilt shops!  The shop owners and quilters in Europe are every bit as enthusiastic about their art as we are.  So many more ideas... and just not enough time!

Has anyone done a "shop hop"?  I just spent two days poking around a designated set of shops in the Edmonton area - and scavenger hunting and visiting shops in my own neck of the woods I had never been in before.  Well, if you can call an hour and a half away my neck of the woods!  But the fall day my girlfriend and I poked out of town was gloriously sunny - and the trees are bright yellows and orange - with small spots of red, and the evergreen dark green really glows!  But did I take pictures?? DOH!!

Here's my Saskatoon bush last fall...

Well, it is October 1st as I write this.  And tonite it may snow!  I sure hope it doesn't, and if it does, I sure hope it all goes away before winter really sets in!!

Smoky - keepin' warm.
