What is being thankful to you? Are you thankful for a wonderful
family, for wonderful friends who are there for you to lean your head on? Are you
thankful that you are able to make wonderful items in quilting for family, friends and
for those who don’t ?
These are some of the reasons I am thankful. I have wonderful support from my family, as I prepare for surgery in the next couple of weeks. I have the support of friends who will be able to help me cope with this surgery and also help my family cope. I have to be very thankful for all the quilts and items I have made and donated to those who need them. Just to see a small child with a wonderful small quilt is a joy to me. Knowing that I can try to help those who are less fortunate brings me happiness. I think we should all make a list of why we are thankful and broadcast it to everyone. We need to take inventory in our lives, (not just in the sewing room) but also in life in general. We take too much for granted and there are those who have lost everything this past year with Hurricanes, Tsunami's, Earthquakes and Tornados. So I am packing up a box to be sent to those who have lost items in their sewing rooms, so they can start new and be thankful that someone cared. Please see the newsletter where to send these items. This month Party is about "What I'm Thankful For". I hope everyone comes in and tells us what they are thankful for. As some friends of mine say, "Let Your Attitude be Gratitude." It will be a good time to tell everyone what you are thankful for and let you share your gratitude in being able to share. May everyone one have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving. And start by saying Thanks - we need it. Purple Hugs quiltDonalyn/President |
