NOVEMBER PARTY  ....

 “What I am Thankful for”

Our party for November is the 19th of the month.  Starting time will be at night.  This month's theme is "What I am Thankful For".  Everyone come and tell us what you are thankful for.  No prizes this time unless you want to donate for the victims of the hurricanes.  Then just send the sewing items to Polly.  She will see to it that they get to where they need to be.

Time for party 8:00 p.m. CST  9:00 EST time .  Bring some Thanksgiving drink & maybe some food!!   Cyber kind that is.  Just all come and have fun and chat with our newbies and with the older ones too.  Tell us what you have been doing and let this a a gathering of good friends and lots of chatting.

Hope to see you all there.

I will be !!

October Spooktacular Party -

October 15 2005 !!

We had a wonderful day trying to guess who was who. The following people were at the party and they were all winners.

Andrea/NF, Sally/IL, QC/KS, Cajan/CA, Needles/OK, Lost/MI, BBN/TX, JO/IN, Wendy/Ont, pjdon/PA, Sew and So/MN, Lulu/ONT, Glenda/AZ, FSL/AZ , Threads/BC and quiltDonalyn/CT.

This party was to work two ways: if you attended and won then you had to send an item from your sewing room to the Katrina, Rita and Wilma Quilt Fund, ( see details in the newsletter where to send these items). The other nice thing was each winner won one Hand Dyed Fat Quarter from The Chicken Tree from Miss Diane.  I just happen to pick these up for the winners at Festival.  See Houston Report in SHOW AND TELL, and a photo of Miss Diane.

Again, we can all be thankful for good health, friendship and giving to others who have lost everything, so Halloween was a giving party from all who won and all who gave.

Thanks for attending

PARTIES....

Why do we only have parties for each other when one of us gets married, pregnant, has a birthday, or retires?  What would most of us do without our sisters, confidants, and shopping, lunching and traveling girlfriends?  Let's celebrate each other for each other's sake! Pass this on to your girlfriends! If you get this twice or more, you are lucky to have more than one girlfriend.   Be happy!

Someone will always be prettier. They will always be smarter. Their house will be bigger. They will drive a better car. Their children will do better in school. And their husband will fix more things around the house.

So let it go, and love you and your circumstances. Think about it. The prettiest woman in the world can have hell in her heart. And the most highly favored woman on your job may be unable to have children. And the richest woman you know, she's got the car, the house, the clothes....might be lonely.

And the word says if "I have not Love, I am nothing."  So, again, love you.  Love who you are.  Look in the mirror in the morning and smile and say "I am too blessed to be stressed and too anointed to be disappointed!"

"Winners make things happen.  Losers let things happen."

Be Blessed ladies and pass this on to encourage another woman.

"To the world you might be one person, but to one person you just might be the world".
