 This year's the 8th annual Southern Mountains RPLOTN Fall Retreat week-end at EB/GA's cabin in Chestnut Mountain, GA. 

Southern Mountains Fall Retreat was held Wed, Oct 26-Sunday, Oct 30, 2005.  There were 10 of us and we had a fabulous time!

And creating projects..... inspirations all... 

Six of us from the regular members of the Southern Mountains Fall Retreat participated in a Row Robin which ended at retreat.  For reveal of the rows, we sent the owner out of the room, pinned the rows on a drapery, called the owner back in (after she could hear us laughing and commenting about the rows), and then had her try to identify the maker of each row.  Phyllis WA theme was "Home for the Holiday's" and required each row to have a house block...imagine my surprise when I got two rows with outhouses!  LOL

Julie's theme was North Woods.

Terry (GAQuiltR) wanted traditional Churn Dash blocks with different sizes.  She provided the back ground.  By the time the rows got to Julie there wasn't much back ground left, so Julie copied PhyllisWA's idea and made small blocks on point and framed them in color.

CookieGA's theme was Roosters.  Her row was a huge appliqued chicken, cut to pieces and put back together with sashing in random position.  Very funky!  And great fun to work on.

Bun's theme was "Celtic"

Cheryl's theme was "Cats".  She got both domestic cats and wild cats.
