President's Message

Gosh! Who would have thought it is almost the end of the year. Where did it go? What significant things have you done this past year? These are questions I am reflecting upon.

What has RPLOTN done this past year?

Well, to start we have been meeting regularly in the Chat Room each evening and mornings, enjoying our chats with friends.

We have also accomplished a lot with our Comfort Program. We have many members all over the US completing quilts that our wonderful Annie has forwarded. We are waiting for all of them to respond to us on their completion and donation recipients. I wonder how many ladies have donated to a charity this year. Please let us know, even if it was from another organization.

The Antlers are in the mist of starting up with great ideas for Lotto Blocks and programs to give Comfort Quilts to. If you have any ideas they would love to hear from you. Please forward the Lotto Blocks to the ladies listed under Antlers. It's like a 50/50 draw - you can win half the blocks and half the blocks go into the bank, so that Comfort quilts can be made and given to those in need.

We have had fun at our monthly parties. Lots of old timers have returned and hopefully, during the month of January lots more will return. Remember that JANUARY is AMNESTY MONTH. For all members, new, old and those who have left us, please rejoin! Let Polly/TX or Lost/MI know of your email and snail mail addresses , so we can update our roster.

I am about to start my quilt trading card or postcard ( that is after the assembly line on Christmas gifts) are done. Smoky/Edm has lots of details in the newsletter about this quilt. Also we have many great plans for the coming year. This is our Anniversary Year ~ the “BIG 10”.

Also, please remember that you do have a sister out there, who is she? where is she? contact QC/KS regarding being a secret sister. This is such a wonderful way to really get to know different people in chat. I have had so much fun being a secret sister and have had over the past years. So please join up.

We will be having lots of swaps and challenges this year; keep your eyes posted to www.rplotn.com. You will find everything you need to know what is happening and what has happened.

As we wind down this year of 2005, I am very grateful of getting my tests back (negative) and also grateful for every single person in RPLOTN for their prayers .. Thank you so much! Friendships and comfort are the things that keep RPLOTN in existence and as we started back in the Fall of 1996, who would think we are still together.

I am grateful for each of you for the support you have given to RPLOTN. We are a great group of ladies and gentlemen. We care, we share, and we take pride in what we do.

I want to wish each and everyone in your life a very Happy Holiday and a very Prosperous New Year. Let’s make this the best year yet in RPLOTN.
