NOTE: A web page has been created for the Warm Hearts - PLEASE let her know if someone is in need of the comforting gesture from the RPLOTN group.  She will send out an e-card on our behalf, and the Warm Hearts page can be updated with any special projects for our sewing sisters who need our special support.

Membership Report:

Polly and I welcome the challenge of being in charge of Membership and we want to thank Magicat for all her hard work in the past.  Please be patient with us as we are new to this.  We hope to have a new roster out to you with changes soon.  If anyone has any changes we need to make in the roster please e-mail us at:  lostberrypicker@yahoo.com  and pollyntx@tca.net

Thanks, Betty aka lostberrypicker

SSS Report:

In order to have time to match up the SSS for 2006, please let QC know as soon as possible if you are interested in being a Secret Sister in 2006.  She's had very few responses!

QC is ready to start taking in names of those who are interested in the 2006 SSS which will go from January thru December of 2006.  QC has asked that we run the SSS from January thru December... that way it would be fun to finish off a year of SSS with a Christmas gift instead of starting the year with Christmas - when you haven't gotten to know your SSS yet.

The reveal of the 2005 SSS can be done any time you wish to.  Some people are waiting to send off a Christmas item.  The list will be revealed in the January newsletter.

You can email QC - or QuiltCrazy/KS at: jquiltc@aol.com if you are interested in being in the SSS program in the new year.

December 2005 Birthday Report

Remember to send your updates to GlendaLulu is her backup - so note the birthday girl changes!

Many thanks to Colleen for her year of Birthday updates!  Family and friends' needs overwhelmed her world as 2005 moved on and hopefully we will see her back in the chat room by the end of 2006.

NEWSLETTER Report

November goes  whyzzzz and it's December!   I feel like time has just passed me by!  Had a wonderful visit from my dad - the "boys" went wood cutting - the wood pile stocked high for next summer's firepit and our winter fireplace.  We've been doing some figuring to see if a fireplace insert that doesn't just let the house air up and out the chimney might be a viable option for heating!  Natural gas prices just keep going up.

DH is underfoot - as he has left his job of 12 years.  A change of pace around here - I am so used to my quiet days.. shades of retirement?  I can hear some of you chuckling.  The realization that I am NOT going to get all the Christmas projects done I expected has whupped me upside the head, but I will do what I can - as we all do.

It's the reflection time of year - updating the Christmas card list - who to strike off really hits home as we lost very good friends and family this year.  By the same token, I have made many more new friends - mostly in the quilting world!  go figure! and add them to my list of people that I must send out the xmas web page when I get it together... after the newsletter is out.  My internet quilter friends are fast becoming real friends - as I meet more and more, face to face.  I've had the opportunity to touch base with a lot of "old" net friends too - and it's good to see people doing well.

I'd like to wish a very warm holiday greeting - to everyone!

Looking forward to a fantabulous 2006 - celebrations, travel, new adventures!

Smoky - keepin' warm.
