Fabric Wanted!!  Where can I find...?

By roving correspondent:  Sharon S.

Have you ever gone looking for that specific fabric - you have a half yard or half meter - and need another half or more.... and the stores don't carry it any more, or the company doesn't print it any more??

Sharon S. (roving reporter) has graciously compiled a list of web sites where one can browse for hours looking for that special fabric.  Her comments are included.

The sites listed are for fabrics that are not currently found in the fabric shops!  There are thousands more of those.  We just want to assist in helping you find the "old" stuff!

Happy hunting!

www.missingfabrics.com - Click on "Gallery of Missing Fabrics - direct contact with seeker of fabric.
I LIKE this site!!

www.fabrics.net - Click on "looking for Fabric", then click on "View Retail Fabrics Wanted" - direct contact with seeker of fabric.
I like this site, also.

www.rjrfabrics.com - Click on "Find Our Fabric," then click on "Fabric Search" - direct contact with seeker of fabric.

www.fabricmerchant.com - Click on "FabricFinderForum" Tab - NO DIRECT CONTACT - need to sign up and sign in to respond - I think this is a frustrating site -
However, they did add instructions so one could respond if one chose to - but it's more of a posting than a responding.

www.rummageads.com - scroll down to and click on "Sewing Wish Ads" - might need to scroll down and re-click - mainly for sewing machines and accessories.

www.cranstonvillage.com - need to sign up, log in, etc.  NO DIRECT CONTACT.

www.all-about-fabrics.com - click on "Wanted Board" - Appears to be NO DIRECT CONTACT - but there seems to be a reply thing, and then submit.

www.ladybuttonfabrics.com - click on "Want Ads" - occasionally the want ads come up, more often than not, they don't and I get "Page Not Found".

www.ioffer.com - select "Want Ads" at top of page - scroll down through some blahblah, then select "Hobbies & Crafts" - I don't know how this works - I think the site owner wants a commission - keeps listing expired ads - quite annoying.

www.fabric-stash.com  - click on "Wanted" - appears to be DIRECT CONTACT - ads seem kind of stale.
