Zone Charity Girls... The Moose's Antlers !
Looking after the Charity Blocks has turned into quite the task, so we divided up the responsibilities into "time zones" - sort of.... EST Regional Charity Girl: Dr. Beth .. email: mdquilter@hotmail.com CST Regional Charity Girl: Needles .. email: sewingm@ptsi.net MST Regional Charity Girl: Anyone interested?? PST Regional Charity Girl: Butterfly Brenda .. email: arniearnie@sbcglobal.net Eastern Canadian Regional Charity Girl: Wendy/Sara/ONT .. email: wecurrie@shaw.ca Western Canadian Regional Charity Girl: Willo44 .. email: kaseychristensen@shaw.ca We are still looking for an MST antler for Canada and one for the U.S.A, a CST antler for Canada and an AST for Canada. If there is a need or desire we can consider Aussie and Euro Regional Charity Girls too!! If you want some info on what this entails contact any of the Regional Charity girls!! How the Charity Quilt donation works: Contact your regional Charity person - and she will arrange to get you a quilt top, quilt squares to be made into a top (or however many you wish). We have raised funds to cover the batting and the backing so you can arrange for it to be sent to you as well, or arrange for a cheque to reimburse for your batting and backing expense. Of course, if you get it donated, be sure to let your Charity Antler know, so a letter of "Thank You" can go out to the donators! If you donate the batting or the backing - then we thank you VERY much - and know that we can finish even more quilts with our resources! You can put together the top if you have taken blocks, you can quilt it or send it to one of our quilters (list to be provided by regional Charity person), you can bind it or send it on to be bound by someone. Just let your regional Charity Antler know what you can do and she can coordinate where the quilt will go. Contact a local Charity in your own area to see if they are interested in receiving the quilt. You can then donate it in RPLOTN's name with the transmittal letter that we will provide to you. The letter will include a request for a letter of receipt of the quilt(s). Don't forget to take photos of these quilts donated, so the newsletter can show what we donated. Then send the receipt letter along with a copy of the letter sent to donor on to Smoky and she will post said letters and photos of quilts for the newsletter and also have copies for records for reports to the guild. Please contact your Regional Charity Antler for labels for the back of your quilts you are donating! Let her know how many you would need and she can send them to you!
