Hiya folks!  Wow, ten years of RPLOTN (2006).  I don't remember exactly when I found Fabric Stash and RPLOTN, but I think my first big event was a meet up at Rosie's Calico Cupboard in San Diego back in 1996.  I was lucky enough to attend two meet ups in southern California around 1996 or 1997, one at the famous Rosie's Calico Cubpoard in San Diego and the other at Calico Frog Linda's quilt shop in Temecula.   I met Bear, CaJan, Bobbie/CA, greeneyes, Jaye, Katie/AZ, MAS, Nan/Diego, Tam, Tensie...who am I forgetting?

I have also met Phyllis/WA and her sister (at Rosie's during a trip to San Diego), Frog Stitch Lady (Fran) and her husband Jack when they were in the Ramona area, Colleen and her DH Paul while we were in Montana, and Canuck (both times in British Columbia while we were traveling).

I have made baby quilts from flannel for years. They were almost always simple squares from two fabrics. I think I averaged 10 or 12 a year since there were always friends, coworkers, and DH's coworkers who expected a "Klimas" quilt.  My favorite quilt is "Jakeb's Fish Quilt" I made for my first grandson. Judy/TX quilted a mouth, eye, fins, and scales into each fish. It has earned blue ribbons in both the Ramona Fair and the Northeast Washington Fair. The only quilt I ever pieced by hand was an I Spy made of hexagons; I printed family pictures on fabric for some of the pieces.

I have become dangerous with a camera since I got my first digital camera eight years ago.  Dave made a website for us last year, so it has my brief bio as well as some pictures of family and travels.

We love to travel, and even took some long cross-country trips on motorcycle. I have a photo taken from the back of the motorcycle when some bison in Yellowstone decided to run alongside us.

I also made a website a few years ago that I have tried to keep semi-current.  It has a link to other photo albums, one of which has a few of my quilts (including Jakeb's Fish Quilt).  There are lots of
family, travel, bird (especially hummingbirds), and animal photos, too.

We now lead a quiet life in the northeast corner of Washington state. We are planning on building a home next year, and we like to go geocaching. We both belong to the local ham radio club, and Dave is very active in the ham radio community. Life is good, and even when it isn't good, it is interesting.

ps....I already thought of one thing I forgot, and that is my original chat name was Roberta in Ramona! One of my cherished nicknames (I think Lighthouse coined it) is RinR.
